Hoist Technician

About the role

Associated scaffolding hoist / warehouse service technicians are responsible for a variety of functions, including processing incoming shipments and materials, picking and filling orders for customers, and organizing, inspecting, and repairing equipment to ensure it is in good and safe working condition before being put back into service. Employees must practice safe work conditions to prevent injuries and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and repair of hoist motors
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic equipment
• Process, prepare, and palletize orders for shipment
• Sort, organize, inspect, repair, complete service reports, and return equipment to proper storage locations
• Wear proper safety equipment and apparel (PPE)
• Follow instructions efficiently
• Demonstrate problem-solving and organizational skills
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Valid NC driver’s license
• Proficiency in verbal, reading, and writing English
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics
• Mechanically and electrically inclined
• Reliable and dependable

Training

• Forklift operation
• Fire prevention, lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment (PPE), and bloodborne pathogens
• Manufacturer’s technical training for hoists
• Additional courses as equipment changes
