Responsibilities

  • Provide general customer support in the HMMS program on site.
  • Assist the site with the general operation of the HMMS system.
  • Perform research and problem-solving support related to HMMS functions and capabilities.
  • Process, control, and coordinate documents authorizing the movement, storage, shipment, and issue of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Assist in data cleanup and conversion activities associated with HMMS software releases and updates.
  • Ensure incoming material matches accompanying documentation and is correctly entered into HMMS.
  • Support HazMat Cell and Receiving Center personnel with HMMS material inventory and data reconciliation.
  • Review and validate Local Purchase Requests/Purchase Card Requests before approval by local authorities.
  • Assist with Form 3952 (Material Authorization Request) review and validation.
  • Assist with Order Request and Purchase Card review and validation.
  • Use ad-hoc tools to provide reports and inventories as requested.
  • Operate and assist with HMMS peripherals such as label printers, PDAs, scanners, scales, workstations, etc.
  • Affirm HMMS system data backup routines and validate their execution.
  • Record keeping and filing in accordance with site policies and procedures as assigned by local authority.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to verify U.S. employment eligibility using Form I-9
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and Common Access Card
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year clerical experience
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Six-month trial/probationary period may be required

Pay & Benefits

$42,000.00 - $66,000.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan
