About the role

As the Loan Officer Assistant, you will provide assistance to the Loan Officer(s) in managing the residential mortgage pipeline from pre-application to closing. This includes administrative support, customer service, and taking loan applications. You will compile the loan package and follow up to ensure all necessary documentation is complete.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the loan originator while delivering world-class customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Handle multiple tasks such as filing, entering loan application data, scheduling meetings, and coordinating with departments to ensure smooth loan processing.
  • Contact customers regarding required loan documentation and prepare files for loan officer review.
  • Gather files for weekly pipeline review with the mortgage processor and provide status updates on each file.
  • Obtain necessary information related to outstanding conditions on loan files.
  • Complete and submit a cross-sell report on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with maintaining the customer database via the Loyalty Express system.
  • Review Projection Reports twice a month.
  • Follow up on leads and track progress.
  • Order marketing materials and print flyers for the loan officer to use with referral partners.
  • Provide a prioritized list of daily tasks for the loan officer.
  • Serve as a backup to the Loan Officer when they are meeting with clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of residential mortgage experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while prioritizing a changing workload.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including successful completion of pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $21.63–$31.25 per hour, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on factors including budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
