HLTA - What The Role Involves

• Leading whole-class learning across a range of subjects under teacher guidance and direction

• Supporting curriculum planning, pupil progress tracking, and assessment alongside qualified teachers
• Providing targeted small-group intervention to pupils requiring additional academic or pastoral support
• Contributing to a calm, purposeful school environment that upholds the school's high standards at every level

HLTA - What The School Is Looking For

• The ideal HLTA will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university
• Previous child-centred experience within a UK secondary school setting is highly valued
• The school is seeking a confident, proactive, and committed HLTA with strong communication skills and the ability to lead learning independently and effectively

HLTA - Salary and Contract Info

• Up to £600 per week, pro rata to term time only
• Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
• Term-time only
• Potential for teacher training pathways or extended contracts following a successful placement
