About the role

U-Haul is seeking a hard‑working, knowledgeable Hitch Service Technician to work in Moving and Storage Center lots, providing outstanding service to customers using advanced technical expertise. The position offers immediate start and same‑day pay, two paid hands‑on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus after completing the U‑Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1‑2‑3 Punch Certification Program.

Responsibilities

• Understand and explain U‑Haul’s variety of towing packages
• Recommend and install the right tow package on customer vehicles
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to U‑Haul customers
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• Basic wiring and hand/power tool experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work safely around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals; may need protective clothing, gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields
• Physical exertion required: long periods indoors/outdoors, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted

Pay

• $100 hiring bonus (paid upon start)

Schedule

Two hands‑on working interviews are scheduled; candidates are paid for each interview session.
