Histotechnologist - Full-time - Days

About the Role

The Histotechnologist performs all aspects of histologic slide preparation for diagnosis, including routine and special tests, maintenance, quality control, and computer functions under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in science with at least two (2) years of full-time experience in histopathology within the last five (5) years, OR
• Successful completion of an accredited histotechnology program (registry eligible), OR
• Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of full-time experience in histopathology within the last five (5) years.

Certification as a registered HT or HTL by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) is preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of histologic theory, practices, and standards
• Skills in cellular evaluation and interpretation
• Oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Basic mathematics, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment
• Ability to prioritize work, organize tasks, and transfer data accurately

Physical Requirements

• Requires manual dexterity and good visual acuity, including color perception
• Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Some heavy lifting up to 30 pounds

Pay

Pay range: $27.32 - $44.80. Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, and alignment with organizational needs.
