About the role
- Perform routine histology procedures with accuracy and precision.
- Maintain instruments, section tissue, and apply cover slips efficiently.
- Perform clerical duties carefully.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a NAACLS‑accredited Histotechnician program, or at least 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of academic credit from a regionally accredited college with a combination of 12 semester (18 quarter) hours of biology and chemistry.
- One year full‑time acceptable experience in histopathology within the last ten years under the supervision of a pathologist.
- ASCP Certified HT (or equivalent certification).
- Training and experience in tissue fixation, microtomy, processing, staining, and immunohistochemistry.
Pay
Sign‑on bonus for full‑time hire: $10,000.
Relocation assistance (within guidelines) for full‑time hire: $7,000.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm with rotating on‑call requirement.
