Position Summary

The Bike Mechanic is part of a team that implements the Bike Library program. This program provides free access to bikes on loan for two hours per visit. It encourages park patrons to explore 10 miles of trails at Shirley Chisholm State Park and enjoy the scenic views of Jamaica Bay.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Bike Library program at Shirley Chisholm State Park
• Provide free bike loans to park patrons for two-hour visits
• Help patrons explore 10 miles of park trails
• Support scenic viewing experiences of Jamaica Bay

Qualifications

• Bike mechanic experience
• Ability to work as part of a team

Pay

$20.95-$23.43 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule

Seasonal 9/10-11/1/26; Thurs-Sun, plus federal holidays and special events
