Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to attract major employers to Michigan
• Engage with potential employers to understand their needs and how Michigan can meet them
• Collaborate with local communities to create a welcoming environment for new businesses
• Monitor industry trends and identify emerging opportunities for economic growth
• Prepare and present proposals to potential employers
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders including local governments, educational institutions, and industry associations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic development, preferably in a governmental or corporate setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of state and local economic development policies and procedures

Pay
