Histology Tech

About the Role

Performs routine histological functions of receiving, preparing, and processing surgical specimens for patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
• Current HT/HTL certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) OR must be ASCP eligible AND must pass exam within 18 months of obtaining eligibility
• All applicants must submit to a Color-Acuity screening test

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Immuno-chemistry experience and/or training
• B.S. degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program
• Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills
