Histology Supervisor

About the Role

The Histotechnologist Supervisor oversees histology lab operations and Signatera team activities, including tissue sample cutting, staining, and preparation for pathology review.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily lab operations, ensuring accurate testing and timely reporting
• Train, mentor, and manage laboratory personnel
• Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment maintenance
• Address production errors and implement process improvements
• Maintain quality assurance records and ensure compliance with regulations
• Perform bench work and administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and active ASCP certification (HT(ASCP) or HLT(ASCP))
• Minimum 4 years histology experience, with at least 2 years supervisory experience

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant regulations
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
