About the role

This full-time position is based at our West Kendall location and offers a great work/life balance with no weekend shifts (Monday through Friday).

Responsibilities

• Pick up specimens from Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC).
• Prepare and receive consultant and reference laboratory slides.
• Ensure accurate patient demographic and clerical documentation.
• Accession cases within the laboratory information system (LIS).
• Assist technical staff with non-technical laboratory tasks.
• Comply with all safety and regulatory policies, including handling biohazard and chemically hazardous materials.
• Organize and deliver slides to pathologists.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate non-complex automated equipment.
• Store slides and blocks in short- and long-term storage.
• Organize laboratory supplies and manage deliveries.
• Handle internal and external phone calls professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to establish work priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external client interactions.
• Alert, energetic, and detail-oriented with a focus on workflow monitoring.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to maintain workstation efficiency.

Associate of Applied Science degree preferred.
