Job Summary

The Spray Technician will be responsible for applying specialized cleaning solutions to commercial kitchen hoods, ducts, and other related equipment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve superior cleaning results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application of Cleaning Solutions: Efficiently apply degreasers, disinfectants, and other cleaning agents to kitchen hoods, ducts, and related equipment using spray equipment.

  • Inspection and Preparation: Inspect areas to be cleaned, prepare the work area, and set up necessary equipment and safety barriers.

  • Cleaning Process: Follow established procedures to clean and degrease surfaces, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered and treated.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling chemicals safely.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean spray equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.

  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients on-site, addressing any concerns or special requests and providing excellent customer service.

  • Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including job reports and safety checklists, and submit them in a timely manner.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good problem-solving skills.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment up to [specific weight], work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

  • Safety: Knowledge of safety practices related to chemical handling and working in commercial kitchen environments.

  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent required. Certification in handling hazardous materials or similar safety training is a plus.
