About the role

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting student evaluations and providing speech therapy services in accordance with individualized treatment plans, educational goals, and applicable physician orders. The SLP will also maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with educational staff to support student success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement and monitor treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities

Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in California
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; may be required based on state or contract requirements
  • Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulations)
  • Able to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
  • At least 18 years of age

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
