Our hospitals in Riverton and Lander offer a broad range of services, including emergency care, critical care, surgical services, women's health, imaging, laboratory services, and primary care.
Responsibilities
- Performing respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and suctioning
- Managing and monitoring mechanical ventilators, including troubleshooting and adjusting settings as appropriate
- Assisting with emergency interventions, code responses, and manual resuscitation
- Obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases and communicating results to the healthcare team
- Conducting pulmonary function testing and 12-lead EKGs
- Recognizing and reporting life-threatening arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
- Maintaining respiratory therapy equipment and ensuring compliance with infection control standards
- Accurately documenting patient care, interventions, and outcomes
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program
- Current state license or certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within facility-required timeframe
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within facility-required timeframe
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications, as required by facility policy
