Description
General Responsibilities: HVAC instructor needed to teach one or more of the following courses: Blueprint Reading, Manufacturing Skills, Machining, Basic Tools, Basic Skills, Measuring, Maintenance, Production, HVAC, etc. Will be working in a team environment, utilizing effective communication skills, working independently, and exercising sound judgment.

Custom Training
Custom training will be provided to companies in FDTC's service area, as well as open-enrollment classes when applicable.

Typical Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Ability to teach one or more of the courses in the related field of Industry Manufacturing; be able to develop programs and curricula to meet industry needs; have excellent presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of industry experience and a combination of formal education, certifications, and hands-on expertise to effectively train students in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Requires an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification and demonstrate strong technical proficiency in electrical systems, HVAC system design, refrigeration cycles, brazing, and troubleshooting.
- Must have a solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and EPA regulations to ensure safe practices in both classroom and lab environments.
- Instructor should be skilled in developing lesson plans, delivering clear and engaging instruction using various teaching methods, and possess strong communication, patience, and motivational abilities to support student learning and success.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills (oral and written); ability to work well without close supervision; willingness to be a team player.
