Job Summary
The Multi-Skilled Technician is an experienced health care worker who provides both patient care and administrative support in three Post Anesthesia Care Units at the main Sarasota campus. PACU is a high acuity, fast-paced department recovering over 100 surgeries a day. MST duties in PACU range from patient transporting to drawing blood, stocking supplies, and checking blood sugars. PACU is very team-oriented and an exciting place to work. Shifts are four 9-hour days from 9a-18:30p, with occasional weekends required. 1 FT position available.
Salary Details
Hourly rate is determined by years of experience relating to this role and internal equity within the organization. Minimum rate starts at $20.00, with a maximum of $28.20. CNA or EMT license required. No experience necessary. We will train you!
Required Qualifications
Require one of the following:
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist;
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), which must be maintained active during employment;
- Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to:
- Currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN);
- Have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN;
- Cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN;
- Nurse/Practical Nurse Graduate who is eligible and/or scheduled to sit for the NCLEX exam within 12 months of hire date;
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation. Employees hired without the above licensure and/or by years of experience only prior to 11/11/19, are grandfathered in and will have the option of obtaining the stipulated licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer the ability to assess, interact, communicate, and care for specific patient populations served by the department. Prefer working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. Prefer the ability to work with minimal supervision.
