Hiring Outpatient Neurologist for Academic Medical Center in Reno/Tahoe

About the role

The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients with general neurological disorders, including headache/migraines, and will collaborate with other Neurology subspecialists on their team to provide comprehensive care. Physician will foster the teaching of residents and medical students from The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with general neurological disorders, including headache/migraines
• Collaborate with other Neurology subspecialists on their team to provide comprehensive care
• Foster the teaching of residents and medical students from The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine
• Participate in Renown Neurocognitive Rehabilitation and Brain Health Program
• Direct access to Renown Neurology’s PhD Neuropsychologist and Psychometrist
• Work with an established Research Department to coordinate clinical trials or conduct research on the university campus

Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology
• Experience in outpatient neurology preferred
• Experience in working with residents and medical students preferred
• Experience in conducting research preferred

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current Medical License in state of practice
• Passing scores on all required exams

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Strong research and clinical trial coordination skills
