About the role

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a subsidiary of GSF, specializing in custom last-mile distribution for the food service industry. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD operates 25 distribution centers across the U.S., delivering over 37,000 orders weekly. QCD also supports a national non-profit, the GSF Foundation. The company is currently hiring Warehouse Selectors at its Apopka, Florida location.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift)
• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
• Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols
• Selector (Picker) Specific: Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately
• Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy
• Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products

Requirements

• Must be open to nights, weekends, and holidays
• Electric Pallet Jack Experience
• Cooler/Freezer experience is a plus

Qualifications

• Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred
• Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation
• Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation
• Use a voice-directed picking system (VolCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders

Pay

$20.85/hour

Schedule & Setting

• Shift start time: 5AM or 6PM
• Full-time, on-site in a temperature-controlled warehouse (dry, cooler freezer: -5°F to 38°F)
• Primarily a 4-day work week
• Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
