About the Role
Drive on the Via Platform in New Jersey (Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties) as an independent contractor. Via uses app-based technology to provide efficient shared rides, reducing congestion and emissions while connecting passengers to their destinations.
Earnings
- Drive your own vehicle (BYOV): $27/hour
- Drive a fleet vehicle: $23/hour
- $100 new driver partner promotion* (complete at least 10 hours of driving within 30 days of onboarding)
*Promotion terms are subject to change at Via's discretion.

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- 25 years of age or older
- More than 1 year of driving history
- Personal auto insurance policy
- Pass a background check (criminal and motor vehicle record checks; SSN required)
- Complete a DOT pre-engagement drug test and comply with ongoing DOT drug and alcohol testing (per FTA rules)
