About the role

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Neurologists for Epilepsy, Neuromuscular, or Multiple Sclerosis to join a busy team in Paducah, Kentucky.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive evaluation and longitudinal management of epilepsy and seizure disorders (adult and/or pediatric, as applicable)
  • Expertise in seizure classification, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Interpretation and clinical correlation of EEGs (routine and continuous video monitored EEG)
  • Medication management for refractory and complex epilepsy cases
  • Patient and family education regarding seizure safety, lifestyle
  • Diagnosis and management of neuromuscular disorders, including: Peripheral neuropathies, Myopathies, Motor neuron diseases, Neuromuscular junction disorders (e.g., myasthenia gravis)
  • Proficiency in EMG and nerve conduction studies
  • Long-term disease management, including immunotherapy and infusion-based treatments
  • Multidisciplinary coordination with PT/OT, pulmonology, rheumatology, and rehabilitation services
  • Management of functional decline, mobility issues, and chronic neuromuscular symptoms
  • Patient-centered counseling regarding disease progression and supportive care planning
  • Diagnosis and comprehensive management of multiple sclerosis and related demyelinating disorders
  • Expertise in disease-modifying therapies, including initiation, monitoring, and escalation of treatment
  • Interpretation of neuroimaging (MRI brain and spine) in MS diagnosis and disease surveillance
  • Management of MS-related symptoms (spasticity, fatigue, cognitive changes, bladder dysfunction, etc.)
  • Monitoring for treatment-related adverse effects and long-term disease progression
  • Clinical coordination of infusion therapies and collaboration with nursing and pharmacy teams
  • Patient education focused on disease course, treatment options, and quality-of-life optimization
  • Participation in multidisciplinary MS care models and clinical pathways
