HIM ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
About the role
Position Overview: The Health Information Management (HIM) Assistant Director supports the HIM Director in the coordination, supervision, and daily operations of the Health Information Management Department for a Critical Access Hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics. This position provides operational oversight of Release of Information (ROI), document imaging and scanning, medical record integrity, physician deficiency management, chart completion, regulatory compliance support, and HIM staff supervision. The role requires advanced working knowledge of Oracle Health/Cerner and familiarity with Updox, MedHost, and eClinicalWorks (eCW).

Responsibilities
- Assist the HIM Director in overseeing daily HIM operations.
- Provide supervision and support to assigned HIM staff.
- Serve as acting HIM Director during absences.
