HIL Commission Engineer

About the Role

Define system boundaries and requirements for simulator IO instrumentation. Configure Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) platforms such as dSPACE and NI for ECU testing. Develop signal conditioning and interface circuits for HIL benches, and plan and execute commissioning activities for all electrical and electronic (E&E) modules.

Responsibilities

• Validate simulator functionality and troubleshoot test benches.
• Ensure accurate simulation of vehicle dynamics and sensor inputs.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB.
• Execute functional, regression, and fault injection tests.
• Analyze test results and report anomalies.
• Work collaboratively with feature owners, software developers, and test engineers.
• Review electrical schematics and translate them into hardware requirements.
• Maintain documentation for test setups, procedures, and results.

Skills

• Proficiency with HIL platforms (e.g., dSPACE, NI).
• Experience developing signal conditioning and interface circuits.
• Knowledge of automated test script development (Python, CAPL, MATLAB).
• Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and hardware requirements translation.
