Highway Engineer - Entry Level

About the role

We are currently seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer to join our team in our Baltimore, MD office. This role supports the planning and design of transportation-related projects, including highways, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and transit improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Engineers in designing transportation facilities.
• Develop geometric alignments for highways and related infrastructure.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist in the development of technical reports.
• Work on multiple assignments both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Relevant internship or job experience in transportation engineering.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and work collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 – $125,000.00, depending on relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and experience.
