About the role
Client is seeking a Highway Engineer to design roadway, drainage, and traffic improvements for highway-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Design roadway, drainage, and traffic improvements for highway-related projects
- Perform engineering calculations, quantity calculations, and cost estimates
- Use CADD for design and drafting
- Work collaboratively with team members, consultants, and clients to ensure design consistency
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding
- Become well-versed with PennDOT Design Manuals and Standards
- Perform field views and participate in meetings
Requirements
- 0 to 3 years of experience in the design of transportation projects
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University (required)
- EIT Certification (preferred)
- CADD experience (a plus; MicroStation preferred)
