Highway Engineer (0-5 years of experience)

About the role

GM2 is a well-established, growing engineering firm with a strong backlog of transportation-centric projects for a diverse client base. Projects include major highway reconstruction, Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) studies, intersection reconstruction, pavement rehabilitation, and complete streets.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations
• Prepare contract drawings and specifications
• Estimate costs and materials
• Review shop drawings
• Provide construction administration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
• Working knowledge of standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam)
• Proficiency with roadway and drainage design software including MicroStation and InRoads
• Experience in roadway projects for NHDOT, VTrans, and/or MaineDOT is desired
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or the ability to earn within two years
• 0-5 years of project experience
