About the role
Flexibly provide one-on-one tutoring to students in math, helping them improve academic performance and achieve goal scores on SAT/ACT exams.
Responsibilities
- Help students improve their academic performance and achieve their learning goals.
- Provide tutoring in Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and ACT/SAT/GED Exam Prep.
- Ensure students secure goal scores on SAT/ACT exams.
Requirements
- Tutor students from different grades in Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry.
- Teaching certificate preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students.
- Patient and empathetic to work with students through their unique learning needs.
Qualifications
- Complete paid, initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and curriculum.
- No lesson planning, content creation, programming, grading, or parent conferences required.
Skills
- Ability to tutor students in various math subjects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient and empathetic approach to working with students.
