About the role
Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Editor to join their team. The ideal candidate will live in or near Tampa, Gainesville or Orlando, FL and will spend seven weeks traveling per semester, alternating with weeks working from home and visiting college campuses.
Responsibilities
- Build lasting partnerships with college professors through interviews and presentations.
- Identify and persuade select professors to work with Kendall Hunt Publishing by showcasing the benefits of being a publisher.
- Interview professors to assess their expertise and potential for developing engaging educational materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with authors to ensure the creation of high-quality educational resources.
- Manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and customer service.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Bachelor's degree.

Schedule
