Highbay/Cherry Picker Operator- Evening Shift

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift / high-bay to load and unload freight and manually palletize freight.
• Manually load/unload boxes and pick/pack product to be shipped to customers using a radio frequency (RF) device.
• Ensure product is picked and packed timely and with a high level of quality.
• Transfer to other functions within the DC as directed by the supervisor.
• Observe all safety and work guidelines.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.

Skills

• Ability to read shipping labels printed in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good quality and good attendance.

Physical Demands

• Occasional overhead reaching and lifting required.
• Able to carry up to 40 pounds consistently.
• Able to go up and down the stairs throughout the day.
• Able to work around conveyor and racks of product.

Typical Working Conditions

• Workaround equipment such as conveyors and rolling stock which could contain hazards.
• Exposures found in a distribution center such as high level of noise and dust may exist for this position.
