High Voltage Journeyman Electrician - Licensed

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support to maintain building systems and infrastructure integrity and availability
  • Monitor and maintain all building and mission critical facilities equipment
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-throughs supporting data center and office operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment to ensure efficient operation
  • Ensure Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer receive timely verbal and written operating reports about building systems and preventative maintenance
  • Encourage, train, and evaluate Apprentice's technical and behavioral skills; set professional example
  • At least one (1) year experience supporting mission critical environments
  • Current electrical Journeyman's license
  • Experience with High Voltage
  • Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in area of non-expertise (e.g., electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice versa)
  • Ability to operate and perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems
  • Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications

Physical Effort/Activities

  • May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds

Qualifications
