High Value Scanner

Full-time hourly non-exempt position.

About the role

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The High Value Scanner (HVS) role tests and inspects items of higher value, such as iPads, smart watches, and cell phones, to assess their condition before uploading them for auction. This role uses proprietary software to scan and upload product information into the auction portal with accuracy. This position reports to the Scan Team Lead.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electronics
• Scan items into the system to create online auction listings
• Search products online
• Screenshot and crop photos for online listings
• Correct and complete auto-pulled information for each item
• Responsible for meeting quantity and quality goals
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Availability to work on-site
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
• Tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot
• High level of integrity
• Comfortable with web- and browser-based software (Google/Amazon search)
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for hours at a time
• Able to follow written directions and company policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
