High School Vocational Teacher - Information Support Service & Networking
About the role
The Springfield Public Schools seeks a dedicated individual to join our team as a Vocational Technical Education Framework Instructor. This position is responsible for helping students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become mature, responsible, and productive citizens.
Responsibilities
- Plans and implements a curriculum that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
- Creates a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic success.
- Assesses student progress regularly and provides feedback to students and parents.
- Advises and supports students in developing life skills and career readiness.
- Maintains accurate records and follows safety protocols to ensure a secure learning environment.
- Participates in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborates with colleagues and administration to improve educational practices and outcomes.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate Degree or higher in a field related to the subject matter and skills to be taught.
- At least five years of recent (within the last seven) full-time employment experience directly related to trade shop.
- A passing score of at least 93% on the written and performance tests for Licensure.
- A passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy (VTLST) and the Communication and Literacy Skills Test (Information Support Services & Networking 9-12).
