About the role
Chesterton Academy - Queen of Martyrs, a joyfully Catholic, classical high school outside of Madison, WI, seeks a talented and dynamic Part-Time Science teacher to join our team starting in the 2026-27 academic year. The school year begins on September 8th, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach 14 classes a week: Introductory Astronomy/Physics (4x/week), Biology (5x/week), Chemistry (5x/week).
- Participate in the House system, designed to promote character, virtue, and student holiness.
- Attend daily Mass with the entire student body.
- Assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities.
Requirements
- Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing, willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.
- Commitment to foster the spiritual and intellectual formation of young men and women in a vibrant, faith-filled academic community.
- Bachelor's degree in Science-related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Graduate degree and/or professional experience in science-related fields.
- Prior teaching experience, especially in a Classical school environment.
