High School Pre-Employment Transition Facilitator
About the role
Help high school students build the skills and confidence they need for what comes next. Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre‑Employment Transition Facilitator to support students with disabilities throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties. As part of the Pre‑Employment Transition Services (Pre‑ETS) program, you’ll work with students ages 14‑22 as they develop workplace readiness and practical life skills while preparing for greater independence after high school.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction and student activities
- Work with students individually and in small groups
- Prepare lesson materials and hands‑on activities
- Encourage participation and skill development
- Maintain program documentation and assist with billing
- Collaborate with instructors and school staff
- Travel between assigned high schools throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience working with students or individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel between Rockingham County & Caswell County school sites
- Ability to complete a background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to lift 10–25 pounds and to sit, stand, and move throughout the day
