High School Placement Counselor (NY)

About the role

The High School Placement Counselor supports the high school placement process for middle school scholars within the Excellence Community Schools network. Reporting to the Director of High School Placement, this position involves establishing close partnerships with school leadership, teaching staff, parents, and guardians.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational guidance to middle school scholars and their families regarding the high school placement process.
• Develop and implement programming to support middle school scholars in navigating the high school placement process.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with school leadership, teaching staff, parents, and guardians.
• Collaborate with the school community to ensure all scholars have access to the resources needed for successful high school placement.
