High School Physics Teacher
About the role
The successful candidate will meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times, plan a program of study to meet individual student needs, and guide the learning process towards achieving district curriculum goals.
Responsibilities
- Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning
- Employs various instructional techniques and media
- Assesses student accomplishments and provides progress reports
- Maintains accurate records and evaluates the effectiveness of classroom assignments
- Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks assistance from specialists
- Maintains an ongoing program of professional growth
- Participates in the evaluation process and contributes to mutual agreements
- Attends meetings and participates in decision-making processes
- Contributes to the professional development of the district and building
Requirements
- Highly qualified with required competency in the content area
- Appropriate content/program area educator license (Physics) and grade level (8-12) licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate license; or Master’s Degree with appropriate content area license preferred and/or expected within 5 years
