About the role
Eastchester High School is seeking candidates for the position of Permanent Building Substitute Teacher.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to students through the school day.
- Attend all after-school faculty and other meetings, as required.
- Deliver instructional lesson plans and classroom routines with accuracy, using a student-centered approach to teaching.
- Keep accurate attendance and classroom records.
Requirements
- Minimum NYS Initial or Intern Teaching Certification.
- NYSED Fingerprint Clearance.
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills to instruct students in a clear, understandable, and supportive manner.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Good organization and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
186 days per school year, 7:45 AM - 2:55 PM with a 40-minute lunch.
Pay
$200 per diem.
