High School Night Custodian

About the Role

As a Night Custodian at Grandview School District, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment across various school facilities, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, gyms, locker rooms, hallways, cafeterias, and lobbies. You will also prepare facilities for meetings, classroom activities, and special events, and ensure the security of the premises by performing tasks such as turning off lights, locking doors, and removing trash.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned school facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Arrange furnishings and equipment for meetings, classroom activities, and special events.
• Secure facilities and grounds by turning off lights, locking doors, checking for cleanliness, and removing trash to minimize property damage and potential liability.

Pay

Salary: $24.69 - $27.59 per hour (depending on experience)

• Working days: 5 days per week / 260 days per year
• Hours per day: 8
• Shift Hours: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Job-related experience is desired

Work Environment

The role requires significant physical demands, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and fine finger dexterity. The job involves 5% sitting, 75% walking, and 20% standing, with minimal temperature variations and some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
