Requirements
- Hold or meet criteria for a valid Tennessee teaching license with one of the following endorsement codes: 013, 125, 413
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Must be able to interact with students
- Flexible and a team player
Bonus Hiring Incentive
A one-time signing bonus of $4,000 is available for teachers in the following hard-to-staff areas:
- Grades 6-12 math
- Grades 6-12 English
- ESL
- Chemistry
- Physics
- World languages
- Special education (including social workers, school psychologists, speech language pathologists, BCBA with board certification)
The bonus is paid in two installments: $2,000 in the fall and $2,000 in the spring.
To qualify, the teacher must:
- Hold a valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate endorsement in the subject area
- Be new to Rutherford County Schools (returning employees or existing staff who have previously taught in these hard-to-staff areas are not eligible)
- Receive final employment approval
