High School Math Teacher, Part-time

High Mowing School is now accepting applications for an enthusiastic and experienced math teacher for the 2026-27 academic year. This position includes teaching Algebra I & II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus levels.

Schedule

• Classes meet 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) between 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
• Each class is one hour long, totaling 6 periods per week.
• Office hours outside of teaching hours are required.

High Mowing School is home to over 340 preschool through grade 12 day and boarding students. Responsibilities

• Teach Algebra I & II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus to students in grades 9–12.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Hold office hours outside of regular teaching hours.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain confidentiality of student, familial, and organizational information.

Qualifications

• Waldorf training or in training (preferred).
• Experience teaching middle and high school mathematics.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Organized, dependable, and punctual.
• Able to work collaboratively.
• Passionate and authentic with strong problem-solving skills.

Pay

Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.
