Description
Wayne Preparatory Academy Charter School, Inc. is hiring a High School Math Teacher (Goldsboro, NC).
Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to students in grades 9–12.
- Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through the implementation of approved school curriculum.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with school and district goals and objectives.
- Create and maintain a safe, flexible, and effective classroom environment conducive to individualized and small-group instruction and student learning.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning, document student progress, achievement, and attendance, and adjust instructional methods to address individual student needs.
- Provide feedback to students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
- Maintain accurate academic records in compliance with school procedures and applicable laws.
- Encourage parental involvement.
- Enforce standards of student conduct.
- Collaborate with faculty through meetings and committees.
- Select appropriate instructional materials and supplies.
- Supervise students during school activities outside the classroom.
- Administer standardized tests in accordance with district programs.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by school administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (or foreign equivalent).
- 2 years experience as a high/middle school teacher.
- Must hold a valid State Educator's or Teaching License/Certificate.
Pay
$42,960/yr.
