High School Kitchen Staff 2026-27

About the role

The Nutrition Department is seeking motivated team-oriented individuals to join our kitchen staff. Positions are available in multiple school locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to recipes and guidelines
• Handle food safely and efficiently
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with meal service and clean-up
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications

• A high school diploma
• Experience working in a school or large-scale kitchen
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) through the MDOE
• Fingerprinting and passing a CHRC required by Maine State Law
