Job Description

The High Incidence Special Education Teacher at Piper High School is responsible for providing instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Develop and implement lesson plans based on district curriculum guidelines and student needs.
  • Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff to ensure continuity of instruction and support for students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to meet individual student needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to develop and review educational plans for students.
  • Provide additional support to students outside of regular classroom hours as needed.
