High School Girls Assistant Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Wray School District RD-2 policies, CHSAA, and league rules.
• Maintain CHSAA coaching certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and any relevant teaching licenses.
• Supports and meets with head coach in developing and implementing daily written practice plans.
• Supports head coach in managing care, inventory, and storage of equipment and assists with facility preparation and maintenance as needed.
• Provide total supervision of athletes before, during, and after practices or activities, ensuring safety and discipline.
• Maintain regular communication with the head coach.
• Promote and support all Wray School District programs and adhere to administrative decisions.
• Follow the chain of command as outlined in the coaching handbook.
• Attend sport-specific coaching clinics and maintain recommended CHSCA membership.
• Lock and secure athletic facilities nightly.
• Participate in post-season equipment/uniform check-in.
• Tidy up the area used for practice or training and ensure all equipment is put up and stowed away in its proper place.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.

Qualifications

• CHSAA coaching certification or teaching license.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and professional athletic environment.
