High School English Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a high school teacher to deliver English Language Arts (ELA) and facilitate other courses using the district-adopted curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach ELA to high school students
• Facilitate additional courses as assigned
• Utilize effective and innovative instructional techniques
• Apply student evaluation methods
• Integrate instructional technology into teaching
• Collaborate with other teachers to promote interdisciplinary studies
• Maintain strong interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff, and the public

Requirements

• Michigan Teacher Certification
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques
• Familiarity with instructional technology and its applications in teaching
• Willingness to work collaboratively with other teachers
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Outstanding references from current and former supervisors

Pay

Starting salary: $50,000 (negotiable). Pay increases are based on experience.

Schedule

Starting date: 2026–2027 school year.
