High School ELA Teacher (2026 - 2027)

Job Summary

Discovery Fusion is a hybrid virtual charter school opening in the August 2024-25 school year, serving grades 5th through 8th. For the 2025-2026 school year, we are seeking a High School English Language Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement engaging, asynchronous lessons aligned to the curriculum and Louisiana Student Standards
• Design a positive and inclusive virtual hybrid learning environment
• Provide daily asynchronous English Language Arts instruction, offering differentiated synchronous learning experiences to promote student mastery
• Audit and provide consistent individualized feedback to students, learning coaches, parents, and guardians
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment for students
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance student engagement through mastery of content
• Record, analyze, and evaluate student data frequently
• Consult with students, learning coaches, parents, and guardians to provide targeted guidance and support toward individual student goals
• Serve as a homeroom mentor to build student relationships and school culture

• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
• Previous experience teaching students in a virtual classroom environment
