About the role
Teach Earth and Space Science courses to high school students. Develop lesson plans and materials, provide feedback on student work, and assess student progress.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional strategies that support student learning objectives.
- Assess student understanding through various methods such as quizzes, tests, and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and share best practices.
- Participate in department meetings and professional development activities.
Requirements
- A conferred bachelor's degree in Earth/Space Science or a related field.
- Experience teaching Earth/Space Science at the high school level.
- Knowledge of current educational standards and best practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications
- Eligibility for professional certification is preferred.
- However, we will review and consider applicants that meet the minimum qualification, which is a conferred bachelor's degree.
