High School Dual Enrollment Instructor (Temporary)

Job Responsibilities

Dual Enrollment Instructors teach high school and Midlands Technical College (MTC) courses at a participating high school. The MTC course, and by extension, the Instructor, are under the purview of MTC and the supervision of the appropriate MTC Department Chair. Dual enrollment courses shall be equivalent to the pedagogical orientation of the MTC academic department and contain the same student learning outcomes, assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes and instructional effectiveness.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• High school teaching experience.
• High school teachers at participating high schools who desire to teach MTC courses must be vetted by the MTC program.
• Transfer courses require a master's degree and 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
• Non-transfer or career course qualifications may vary.
• The individual program will identify the minimum qualifications required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work experience in the discipline.

Additional Comments

Dual Enrollment Instructor are compensated by the employing high school.
