About the role
This position is responsible for teaching Business Education courses to high school students. The teacher will also be expected to participate in department meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the overall success of the business education program.
Responsibilities
- Teach Business Education courses including Accounting, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and national standards
- Assess student learning through various methods such as quizzes, projects, and exams
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance curriculum and support student learning
- Participate in department meetings and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate records and report grades as required
Requirements
- A conferred bachelor's degree in Business Education or a related field
- Experience teaching Business Education courses
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
Qualifications
- Professional certification in Business Education is preferred
- Minimum qualification: A conferred bachelor's degree
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
