High School: CTE.5 Agriculture Teacher/ .5 Tech Ed Teacher

The Catoctin High School and Oakdale High School are seeking an Ag/CTE teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

• Teach Ag/CTE subjects at both Catoctin High School and Oakdale High School in alternating semesters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Assess student progress through various methods including quizzes, projects, and exams.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and curriculum development.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• A conferred bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Career and Technical Education, or a related field.
• Eligibility for professional certification preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom.

Skills

• Effective classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles.
• Knowledge of current agricultural practices and technologies.
